DESCRIPTION AND GENESIS OF THE ARTWORK
A splash page that has entered the collective imagination, published in the USA in November 1972 and signed by the master John Romita Sr. When I first saw it, I thought no one would want to be in the shoes of the "wall-crawler": pure tension, absolute drama.
Romita manages to convey everything through his gaze, finally visible,
of Peter Parker, who after losing his mask, replaces it with a surreal one
“borrowed” from the wax museum.
A very powerful image, which marked an era and influenced Pop Art.
My work is a acrylic reproduction on canvas, born from the desire to amplify
the iconic strength of the original without betraying its soul.
Painting it was like going back inside it, with the wonder of a child.
and adult awareness.
An emotion that knows no time and that I wish to share with those who are looking for a work
capable of communicating with the domestic space in a silent but powerful way.
Because some images never stop talking,
they continue to create emotions, connections, living memories.
This is the tribute I pursue through my art.
