DESCRIPTION AND GENESIS OF THE WORK

“Venezia – Casanova” is the artwork for the “Made in Italy” project, which pays homage to the city of Venice and its famous carnival.
On the Rialto Bridge I have depicted some of the most iconic Venetian characters,

and not only, together with art critics, well-known faces from the music world and

of Italian television.

This work was born on the occasion of my themed exhibition at

the Venice Art Gallery, in the heart of Venice.
Ben-Day Dots, in pure Roy Lichtenstein style,

is the absolute protagonist, a tribute to one of the greatest masters of Pop Art.

In choosing the characters in the foreground I wanted

once again let myself be guided by memories and imagination,

going back to those 60's Marvel comics I read as a kid,

illustrated by the great John Romita Sr.
